ABOUT ME
Christian Griffin, Attorney
I’m a passionate litigator who loves the courtroom, cares about my clients, and zealously advocates on their behalf.
After graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010, I began my legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Gwyneth Whalen in Boulder District Court.
I then worked as a deputy state public defender for the next four years, during which time I represented hundreds of clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors, achieving an undefeated jury trial record and receiving the ACLU of Colorado’s Civil Rights in Action Award for exposing police corruption in connection with a massive undercover drug sting operation in Southern Colorado, the details of which were the subject of a Westword cover story.
After that, I practiced civil litigation as an associate attorney with Caplan and Earnest, LLC, in Boulder, where I achieved successful outcomes for both plaintiffs and defendants involved in preliminary injunction proceedings and represented numerous doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals before their licensing boards.
In June 2017, I founded Christian Griffin Law, LLC, with the mission of providing top notch individual representation to clients involved in criminal prosecutions, and in 2019, I expanded my practice to include work on behalf of plaintiffs whose civil rights have been violated by the government. The very first lawsuit I filed resulted in a $3.41 million verdict against the City of Boulder for failing to properly train its police officers, who, in turn, violated my client’s constitutional rights during the course of a welfare check.
Suffice it to say, I care deeply about justice and individual liberty; I work as hard as I can to achieve the best possible outcome for each of my clients; and, with my experience as both a public defender and civil litigator, I’m uniquely equipped to handle your legal needs in court.
